Theoretically.  If you have the map view in the correct spot or
zoomed way out, and the Station->Filter Data menu doesn't have
everything disabled or the types you're wishing to see disabled.

Radio needs to be on 144.39 simplex and the TNC needs to be
operating properly.

You can also connect to the 'net at the same time with another
Xastir interface and see stations pop up there, if you don't have a
lot of local RF traffic to listen to.
