I use this to set up a kiss connection between idigi and igate on xastir:

PTY_A=$(/usr/sbin/kissattach /dev/ptmx idigi 44.137.2.46 2>&1|tail -1)
PTY_B=$(/usr/sbin/kissattach /dev/ptmx igate 44.137.2.100 2>&1|tail -1)
sleep 20
kissnetd $PTY_A $PTY_B &

Perhaps you can use this script to edit your own?
