[Xastir] Festival issue Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit options greyed out

Sox is installed, and it when Xastir calls it to play the wav file,
everything freezes.  I just installed sox on my netbook that has
Ubuntu 11.10, and the wav's play just fine.  So for now I'll blame it
on Linux Mint, but it may have something to do with the sound chip on
the desktop computer.
