[Xastir] Weather Polygons

Hello,

I am a long-time Xastir user, and have written guides for it (http://www.wx9grb.org and then click on Xastir in the header bar). My first run of it was back in the compiler days. I mainly use Xastir on Fedora or CentOS linux, and usually inside a VNC shell so I may access it from anywhere.

Over the last year or so, I know that the NWS changed from a county warning format to a sub-county polygon storm track. Since then, my polygons have gone, and I no longer see the shading of the weather alert maps, in terms of shading a county for a watch box.

I have upgraded to the latest shapefiles that I know of from NOAA, and even upgraded to Xastir 2.0.0 that I downloaded the other day. I removed my shapelib libraries to use the shapelib that came with Xastir 2.0.0

I have Enable Weather Alerts checked, and Disable All Maps cleared. I can go into View Wx Alerts, and see valid messages, but no graphical representations. I am getting my internet data from rotate.aprs.net:14580

I am wondering what bozo configuration thingy I am missing... do I have a filter data checked where it shouldn't be.

I am also using Xastir on OS X, using a pre-built library, and it too does not see the warning polygons.

I am looking for severe weather polygons, Watches, Warnings, and MesoScale Discussions.

Thanks,

Christian KC0ARF
