[Xastir] Serial tnc and Prolific USB adaptor

Hi Jason and all

when i go into the TNC config menu and put in /dev/ttyUSB0
it wont work...
when i restart the computer and start Xastir and check the Interface 
Control menu
it shows .. Device 1 Serial TNC /T;0 or some other garbage
