I've got a Belkin with 4 DB9 ports. Of course I've had it for years so
it won't be made any more now. It also sat unused for years because it
had no drivers when I first got it.
I do a search on line for Linux compatibility before I make a purchase,
and try to avoid latest models.

While the advice to look for particular chipsets is noted, it's very
difficult to find out which chip is in what when purchasing online.
