The Ubuntu 14.04 notes work with the following changes (I did skip gdal): * The xset command fails (but a reboot will probably register the fonts anyway) * The following additional packages need to be installed so the GraphicsMagick tests succeed: sudo apt-get install webp libwebp-dev Dave KD7MYC
