[Xastir] Device 0 errors with Xastir-Pi

I am getting Device 0 errors for no apparent reason. And I don't seem to be receiving data packets in Xastir, even though the yellow LED illuminates when the radio receives packet transmissions. This is a Pi3 with a TNC-Pi (the newer version TNC-Pi with mounting holes..) The TNC-Pi and transceiver are transmitting packets that do get digipeated though... Any ideas about this?
