In case you haven't seen the screen shots, this isn't a simple
"network stops communicating" issue (which is what I thought
initially). I'm not saying for sure it's xastir, but xastir is
definitely a suspect.  If it is a network problem it's a weird one.

The telnet session shows message ACKs and a (higher layer) response
message, but these don't seem to get to xastir.

It would be good to get more eyes on his screenshots.
