ShareGPS runs on an Android and may work. I have used it to share over a wireless network (IP:port) to a tablet.

Best regards,

I had trouble pulling up an onscreen keyboard and have one of those tiny B/T keyboards for field use and just used a B/T mouse.Yes, it basically won't logout so I minimize it with the "square" button on the lower right of the Android tool bar and then killed it that way.Logout doesn't shut down the window server. 1024X768 on screen resolution gives a pretty good Xastir image and it was working on Wifi and when out of Wifi range, the cell network worked. I only did the lxde-core download as I found a lot of the utilities in the full download didn't work.
Loose ends. I don't know if the onboard GPS in the N7's can be accessed or if other "paired" B/T devices can be found somewhere in GNU/Root and utilized. Boy that would be nice! Kurt KC9LDH-3 ON ANDROID!! (Look this up on aprs.fi this afternoon and it's there. I did a manual position)

I have it running on the latter one now. They key for me was deleting that remaining root directory after an uninstall, and starting over.

I'd appreciate help in fleshing out the screen resolutions that work best (I know 1900x1200 doesn't, it makes everything too small), how to operate with just a touch-screen, how best to start up and close GNUroot/XSLT/Xastir, etc. I'll add to the Wiki as better ideas come through the list.

I don't have a bluetooth keyboard to play with, but have a BT mouse if needed. I'd rather not need it.

I couldn't close the X-server when done playing last night, so just shut down the tablet instead. Not the best solution, but it solved the problem.
