[Xastir] Font size for station and station names

Hi Max

I figured this out on my own and made changes to my Station name font size and it is much better now!  First off, you have to determine if you can actually change the fonts in your version of xastir.  If you have installed xastir from apt-get install, the font selector is not available to you but if you have installed from source, it is.  So first thing go to File|Configure|Fonts. Onthe right hand side of the window that opens, there is a series of xfontsel buttons.  If they are greyed out they are unavailable to you, if you are able to click on them, let me know and I will help you further.

I am looking for a font size that can make the stations and station names bigger because they are too small for my eyes!  I came across Curt’s suggestion in an earlier post which I reproduce below:

MAPS_LABEL_FONT_TINY:-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--14-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1

My FONT_TINY was size 8 and FONT_SMALL was size 10, which I changed to match Curt’s.  I changed mine to exactly like his by editing the xastir.cnf file in .xastir but there was no apparent difference.  I am wondering if the appropriate font is STATION_FONT but I don’t want to change it for fear of breaking something.

Could someone advise what setting I should use to make those items bigger and should it be changed from fixed to adobe-helvetica…..
