[Xastir] Problem - solved

Just in case someone else runs into the same problem.

I finally got xastir running, and kept running after a reboot, by 
purging the version of xastir that's available via the Ubuntu repository 
(for the third time) and installing an on-line deb file. It's the same 
version as the repository file and, it it matters, I'm using Kubuntu 20.04.
