On Fri, Oct 14, 2022 at 11:36:59AM +0300, we recorded a bogon-computron collision of the <sv1ljj at raag.org> flavor, containing:
> Hello all,
>
> can someone please explain to me what the Message -> Satellite Ack Mode is
> supposed to do?

According to the in-program help file:

---
This mode disables the sending of ack messages in response to received
messages. Messages are still acknowledged using the reply-ack system. When
operating over a satellite it is clear that your message made it, because you
will hear it repeated. The receiving station sending an independent ack only
  adds QRM.
---

The "reply-ack" system is a way of tacking "acks" on to replies in a way that
doesn't generate extra packets, whereas the standard ack message system creates
a new packet every time a message is received. Using the standard ack system
in satellite operations causes unnecessary and unhelpful extra traffic on the
channel.

Hope that helps.
