Given a choice, I'd prefer Lat/Lon UNPROJECTED: A flat, square map.
Distortion as you go n/s of the equator farther, but for most apps,
especially for SAR apps, which tend to be more local in scope, it will
work fine. Barring that, we can talk about the other possibilities, but
it'd be a lecture series. Which I've been known to launch into.
