Here's what I did for Redhat 7.3:
  http://www.hamspot.com/go-xastir

It would be called like this:
  links -source http://www.hamspot.com/go-xastir | sh

It's not a perfect solution but it made it darn simple to get XASTIR
installed a number of Redhat 7.3 machines in no time at all.
