If someone is going to be attacking the configure code for MOTIF, it would
be nice if at the same time, something could be done to improve the "It 
depends
on which libraries you have in what order where on whether your Xastir works
on OSX or croaks with a window size error.  Configure should be able to
detect the multiple motif stuff and identify and setup things to use the
ones it wants.

Just my own personal rant.
