[Xastir-Dev] Annoying map chooser behavior to be corrected

Ah, there was the warning that I missed!  Too bad the list was
locked up for a while and I missed that.  Hope it didn't cause you
too many problems at the time I did the changes.

Did it another way:  Saved the current position, refreshed the
widget, restored the position.  It works.
