I've updated three different machines (on two different networks, home
and work) from developer CVS today.

But I do my access to developer CVS through an external (ssh) connection.
My CVS/Root has:

:ext:tvrusso at xastir.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xastir

Not a "cvs3.sourceforge.net" to be found.  How are you doing it?
