[Xastir-dev] Git commit messages --- a plea

Using version control to dig through the ancient history of the project is
useful, and is something I do all the time.  Most of the time it's trying
to understand when and why a particular change was made, usually 10-15 years
after it happened.

Life is better when the commit messages throw me a bone.  This web site
says it better than I can.
