I use the shapelib map of the world that gets pointed to from the xastir web
site and have a number of Australian shapelib files downloaded from an Aus gov
site with political boundries, roads, rivers, cities etc.  Very useful.

:)  There seem to be a few of us.  Once the "stable" version of 1.1.4 is
released I'll have a go at creating a FreeBSD port of it.  FreeBSD already has
Shapelib and ImageMagick in ports.
