More details please:  Are you on a fast feed or multiple fast feeds
and zoomed way out (view of the U.S. or world)?

It is just the main thread that is using lot's of CPU, or some of
your interface threads as well (just one process showing up as
taking lots of CPU out of all the Xastir processes)?
