Please try again.  I just got rid of the MacOSX-specific #ifdef's
throughout the code.  I hope to do the same for Solaris and any
others that are in there.

Start at the boot.sh step in the process as I changed configure.ac
as well.

Sending me config.h files might help in this process.  Linux users
please do NOT send me these files.
