I just (1/23) did a cvs update, configure, and make. I see this:
xastir 1.1.3

Building with AX25.......... : yes
Building with GeoTiff....... : no
Building with ShapeLib...... : no
Building with ImageMagick... : yes
Building with Festival...... : no


Xastir will be installed in /usr/local/bin.
Warning: You have an old copy of Xastir at /usr/local/bin/xastir.
