This is not the case, I was using it mobile yesterday. It knows where it 
is, so it must be reading the GPS, correct? It's just not listening to 
the TNC. However, it knows it there 'cause it correctly transmits it's 
position, as verified on my home machine.

You are getting a different response than me. If I leave the HSP 
configured, and plug the GPS into my tester directly, no HSP cable, DTR 
goes low and stays low. DR flickers as the GPS strings come across the 
line, Xastir shows a solid incoming red line on the interface.

I'll see what happens with the new code, thanks!
