[Xastir] Mac & USB->serial->TNC combination freezes Xastir

Hi,

I use an Apple PowerBook Titanium DVI 667 OS X.2.6 with USB port, a 
Keyspan USB28X dual USB to serial converter, a TNC2m(ulti) from IfD

I'm running Xastir 1.1.5 under Apple's X11 and have the additional 
packages recommended by Marinus installed:

When I choose Interface Properties in Xastir 1.1.5,   I type in TNC 
Port : /dev/tty.USA28X11P1.1
And then I get indefinitely that Watch. Nothing works anymore... Can't 
exit Xastir. Have to quit X11.

In the Keyspan Serial Assistant I get the following data:

I haven't tried this personally 'cuz I don't have USB yet on any of
my desktops or laptops.  Kind'a tells you the age of the equipment
I'm running, doesn't it?  Actually some of the desktops have the USB
chips in there, but I have that feature turned off in the BIOS.  I
don't need it or use it.

Anyway...   Have you checked permissions on the files that the USB
creates in /dev?  Either your normal user account needs read/write
permission on those tty ports, or you need to give Xastir SUID Root
permission so that it can talk to those serial ports anyway.
