[Xastir] ImageMagick Upgrade

With all the discussion about ImageMagick, I am wondering if it is worthwhile 
to upgrade.  I am using 5.3.5 & it works flawlessly (as far as I can tell) 
with Slackware 8.0.
In a nutshell, is there a good reason to upgrade, although I realize am 
behind the 'bleeding edge' which sometimes is not so bad at times....  Are 
there features which I may be missing?   I do keep up with the latest cvs's.
