I take issue with this statement.  xastir in CVS is inherently
unstable, for obvious reasons.  However, the goal for xastir is to
have occasional stable releases, where CVS updates are restricted to
bug fixes and the like instead of additional functionality.  Curt has
been doing a wonderful job of shepherding this process.  I'd like to
see releases happening maybe four times per year, with the several
weeks preceding the release dedicated to enhancing the stability of
the software and polishing the documentation.
