[Xastir] Lib Error

I did not rerun ldconfig.  Running that seems to have fixed that
problem.  So on to the next...

When I try to execute xastir, now I get this error:

xastir: relocation error: /usr/local/lib/libgeotiff.so: undefined
symbol: TIFFMergeFieldInfo

I had a similar error when compiling the libgeotiff.  I was able to tell
it to "./configure --with-libtiff=/usr/local/lib" which seemed to fixed
it.  Im kinda guessing it didnt.  

I have installed libgeotiff-1.2.1, tiff-v3.6.0-beta (only because
libgeotiff said to install 3.6.0-beta or better), and shapelib-1.2.9.

Any ideas?
