[Xastir] Xastir problem need some help...

I think Curt may be close here.  It could be that you have everything
selected, and maybe one of those things is a shapefile map close to the
top layer.  If you are in a close zoom, a filled county shapefile on the
top layer will be the only thing you see.

Like he said, deselect everything and just select one thing only.
