Please excuse the bandwidth if this was just
discussed. In win32 cygwin xastir, i want to
take a tigermaps server screen, save it to disk,
and use it later without having to be on the
internet. (Be able to bring it up whole off the
HD.)
I did take notes of someone's (Curt's?) email that
said something like "... download a large map to
the HD, then carefully construct your own .geo file
linking points on the image with coordinates in the
Xastir world."
But i think i just caught the tail end of that
discussion. If someone could give me step-by-step
instructions. And can the whole process be done
using only the Xastir program and a text editor
or do i need something add'l. Again, this is in
win32, so i could start with the PrtSc or shift-
PrtSc or Alt-PrtSc key to get the screen image onto
the clipboard, edit it in Adobe Photoshop.
But exactly what steps to calibrate it? Obviously
i have to pick a couple (or several) points on the
online map, write down their lat&long, and later
tell Xastir that those points correspond to the
appropriate lat&long.
Thanks
