The server port is new.  Expect to take a while to work all the bugs
out.

What you're seeing is that the raw KISS data is being sent to the
server port instead of the "cooked" data.  I'll have to fix that.

If you are connected to an internet port with Xastir and then
connect another client to Xastir's listening port, you'll see all
the data like you expect.

I'll have to check which ports are sending binary/raw data to the
server port.  It's probably a problem with logging to disk as well.
I think the AGWPE port is correct in these respects now.  I just
re-wrote the parsing for it yesterday.

I don't want to go with AGWPE.  They use a very non-standard 36-byte
header and (in my opinion) make things more complicated than
necessary for our needs.

My goal is to have INET-compatible packets being thrown around on
that port in all cases, so you should be able to treat Xastir
exactly like an internet server.

No.  Let us fix up the logging and listener port stuff so that the
"binary" ports are done properly and you should be good.
