[Xastir] CVS Issues ?

I tried to update from anonymous CVS today and received this error:

cvs [update aborted]: unrecognized auth response from cvs.sourceforge.net: M
PserverBackend::PserverBackend() Connect (Connection refused)

Can you guys tell me how to begin to understand what I've got wrong to get
this message?
