Well, it's not out of date code. With anon CVS back online, snagged a
whole new fresh set at about 7:30pm MDT (0130Z) - first map load was
slow, but it worked. Then zoomed in a bit and the re-load produced this
for a map.gif:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">

<title>302 Found</title>
</head><body>
<h1>Found</h1>
<p>The document has moved <a

</body></html>
Ya think maybe tiger.gov is get'n tired of re-downloaded maps? Maybe
they're doing some kind of bandwidth moderation.
If so - could be incentive for some type of auto caching system. Maybe
even more incentive for migration to xastir V2 and the databasing
backend. Download your local data once - keep it local and re-draw from
your local source as needed.
I'm spoiled - I like my tiger maps - a lot.
