[Xastir] help with topo lines overlayed

And that would be the key to my problem it turns out :(

I finally managed to find the 1:100 hypsography DLG's for my area and
the 1:24k's for the areas around me.  But apparently extreme south
western arizona was left out :(  Bummer.

At least I was able to find the 1:24's for the sand dunes west of here
in CA which is what I was most interested in.

However now I have a new question.  These are .ddf's not .shp's.  Can
they still be dbfawked?  I'm wondering how I can change their color and
or limit when the lables on the lines show up (it's awfully cluttered
with all the height lables showing)
