dbfawk won't work for those.  dbfawk was implemented for the
Shapefile library only, and only if you're using Shapelib directly,
not when you're using the OGR library.

The only way currently to change how the SDTS files look in Xastir
is to edit the map_gdal.c source code and recompile.

I'd like to see a mechanism eventually that would allow us to define
these sorts of things for any of our vector formats.  That might
have to wait until we get started on the next phase of the project
though.
