[Xastir] Xastir without X-Windows?

For the system you describe, I would actually recommend using aprsd instead. 
Xastir requires Xwindows. APRSD will perform all the functions of xastir, 
except those requiring a graphical interface. Any other programs you may need 
can connect to it via tcp/ip.
