[Xastir] Objects on D7AG

I've been playing with objects in Xastir and it brought up a question
that I haven't been able to figure out....for a little bit of
background, my SAR unit purchased a few TH-D7A(G) units to pair up with
Magellan Meridian GPS units. We also got a couple of D700s for base and
a mobile digi to be used on searches.

When the D7 hears a station it automatically puts that station onto the
GPS as a waypoint using the first 6 digits of the call. The next time it
hears that station it updates the waypoints location on the GPS. This
feature comes in handy when two teams are trying to meet up while going
x-country and many other things.

Playing with objects tonight it finally clicked that the D7 can get
objects from Xastir, but it doesn't seem to send objects to the GPS like
it does with stations. Am I doing something wrong, or is there any way
to make this happen? If the D7 won't send the objects to the GPS is it
possible/legal to have Xastir send an object out as if it ware a
stations position report? As far as I can tell this isn't possible with
Xastir at the moment, would it be legal to do?

It would be a quick and easy way to get coordinates out to the team and
into their GPS automatically.
