[Xastir] Maps ?

display map.gif shows that map.gif is a good map of my area

How can I configure tigermaps for any other format other than GIF?

Are there versions of ImageMagick that are known to work with? I'm using the
debian package imagemagick(5:5.5.7.9-1.1).
