Keeping the spec file up-to-date allows some of the distributions to
include newer Xastir's. It'd be nice if SuSE would pick up a newer
one than 0.3.6.

Problem is, RPM doesn't work across all systems, or isn't a common
packager on some of them. Several of our supported platforms need
plain-vanilla sources to start from.

Besides that, there are better systems than RPM out there now, but
it'll probably be quite a few years before any particular one takes
over as the "right" way to do things. If ever.
