[Xastir] Font Errors

I've just set up Xastir on a new system (Fedora Core 3, more or less
vanilla install) and I'm seeing lots of the following errors from a
connection to northwest.aprs2.net.

Warning:
    Name: create_appshell text_output2
    Class: XmTextField
    Character '\260' not supported in font.  Discarded.

I'm assuming it means that I'm missing some characters in my default
font; but have NO idea how to fix it.

Help?
