[Xastir] Sound/voice questions

For what it's worth I finally did an apropos search and there dosn't 
appear to be anything for playing audio files on my system (well other 
than xmms which I added - but that's a little bulky for this application!)

I've looked for debian packages for vplay,play,auplay but didn't see 
any.  Any debian users have recomendations on packages with good players?

I haven't updated my sources in a week or so - I'll do an update today 
and see if I still have the problem.
