Since you are open to feature requests...

How about a new interface for the Festival alerts.

I see two dialog boxes

File -> Configure -> Speach would give the first dialog box similar to the
Interface Preferences dialog box. This box would list the alerts that have
been "added", would allow you to add/delete/update alerts. (Maybe this is more
than just festival, maybe it's alerts in general.)

The add box would popup the second dialog where you specify the type of alert.
I think being able to choose the type of alert (New Station, New Message, Band
Opening, Weather, Proximity, Bulletins, Own Objects, Own Weather Data,
Incoming Data, etc, etc), specify the proximity (min/max distance) and specify
the content of the message (built from a list of attributes available based on
the type of object choosen), and finally, the message delivery mechanism
(i.e., dialog box, play wave, speak, etc.).

How does that sound? Does anyone think this would be a good idea? Hard or easy
to implement?

Should it get added to the Feature request list?
