I was doing that...but I got tired of how often UI-View crashes under
W2K and stopped playing with it.  (Even the UI-View fans around here
told me that it has known problems with crashing under W2K)

I wasn't using APRS logon at all though, I just left that unchecked in
UI-View and all worked automagically.

Just checked and it's still working for me (off a CVS build done a few
hours ago) Though UI-View now seems to be having problems with it's map
stuff again...but that's not an issue for Xastir to deal with :D
