I think VNC is available on many clients, including windows and OS X.
I've got a new VNC server (I think it's a server) for OS X that I
haven't had a chance to try out yet. There are also non-VNC tools
(remote desktop access, timbuk2, etc) that do the same sort of thing.
I use VNC on linux to control the kg4wsv-15 Igate that runs xastir on
144.30 or satellite frequencies, depending on what I've got going on.
