Hi John,
It sounds like you don't have the cvs program installed on your system yet.
Either that or its not available to your user. I'm not familiar with the
MEPIS Linux distribution to be able to best suggest how to get cvs installed
on your system, but I'll be that's what you need to do.

Subject: [Xastir] CVS question
I am working on getting CVS running
The platform is MEPIS Linux.
The network is working.
I have followed the instructions in cvs: xastir/xastir/readme.cvs
I created a .cvsrc file in my home directory /home/kc4zgq
in it are the commands
##cvs -z3
update -P -d
status -v
diff -u
I opened a Konsole terminal window and entered:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xastir login
I get:
bash: cvs: command not found
Suggestions?
I have tried to follow the instructions at Sourceforge for CVS but they are
not very clear.
