That's about how I got started, but I keep getting sucked in a little 
farther by my own curiosity and "need" for "better" maps. (:


I'm looking for a field to use for a label.  dbfinfo tells me there's a 
field called ELEVATION that's what I want, but it is a float.  Does the 
dbfawk code handle floats?  do I have to do some sort of float to 
string conversion?

Why a 20 foot contour would be stored with 15 zeros after the decimal 
is beyond me: 1160.000000000000000 ft
