This is true as far as it goes, but the underlying thing that
changed to cause our particular problem was the XPM libraries, which
of course ImageMagick uses as well.  There were serious security
holes in XPM that got plugged.  One of these fixes involved changing
an API call that allowed us to specify an arbitrary path/filename to
write the XPM file to.  We can no longer do that and so had to
change our Xastir code so that we could still write the XPM file.
