I'm using an old dual usb iBook when I make the ls /dev | grep -i usb
entry nothing was displayed, so I plugged in the usb/serial adapter
and did it again. This time I got back two things, cu.usbserial and
tty.usbserial both of which I have tried to plug into the setup for my
connection. Here are my settings, anything you can tell me about this
would be greatly appreciated.
startup and shutdown are for the .d700
TNC w/AUX GPS
TNC port -- well thats the question isn't it... lol
the rest is set by the startup file I guess

Now what procedure do you use to start up, i.e. how is the D700 set
when you first bring up Xastir, on .. off... in TNC APRS mode or TNC
PKT mode or not in either. What brand of usb/serial adapter are you
using, I have three choices.. I have the Keyspay, I have an I/O Gear
and I have a Micro Innovations, but only the Keyspan and I/O Gear seem
to register with the iBook.

I guess what I'm asking if it doesn't try your patience is in detail
please, please tell me exactly how you are set up so I can mimic it
here. My frustration level is getting very high so any feedback would
be welcome.
