[Xastir] Maps, Defaults, and Chooser

I don't know if this got pushed to the back burner, but us poor people 
with 8 bit screens are still having problems.  It's been broken for 
quite a while now, a couple of months ago, I set my install script to 
automaticly delete any file that has TRANSPARENCY in the .geo file, so I 
don't see it anymore, but I'm sure the problem is still there.
