[Xastir] Snapshot and logfile troubles

If I turn on snapshots it tries to write to a non-existing directory: 
tim at kirk:~/.xastir/logs> Couldn't
open /home/tim/.xastir/data/nws-stations.txt/tmp/snapshot.geo
/usr/bin/convert: Unable to open file
(/home/tim/.xastir/data/nws-stations.txt/tmp/snapshot.xpm).
Not a directory
Failed to convert
snapshot: /home/tim/.xastir/data/nws-stations.txt/tmp/snapshot.xpm
-> /home/tim/.xastir/data/nws-stations.txt/tmp/snapshot.png  

it should be trying to write to /home/tim/.xastir/tmp/snapshot.xbm.  I
would say that permissions are ok, but is confused on where to write
snapshots and logs.
